Today, the LibrePlan project proudly signed the Finish the Job declaration in support of the full and timely enforcement of the European Digital Markets Act (DMA).
As an open source project, we believe that innovation flourishes when developers, companies, and public institutions can compete on a level playing field. Open markets, interoperability, and fair competition are essential for a healthy digital ecosystem and for Europe’s digital sovereignty.
The DMA represents an important step towards reducing gatekeeper control over digital markets and creating opportunities for European innovators. However, legislation only has value when it is enforced consistently and without delay.
LibrePlan has always stood for openness, transparency, and giving organizations control over their own infrastructure and data. Those same principles underpin the goals of the DMA: empowering users, reducing dependency on dominant platforms, and enabling fair competition.
For these reasons, we have added our name and logo to the Finish the Job campaign and encourage policymakers to complete the work they started by fully enforcing the Digital Markets Act.
Europe has already built the framework. Now it is time to finish the job.
