Yes, there were challenges, but LibrePlan 1.6.1 is out now!
You can grab the container from Docker Hub at libreplan/libreplan:1.6.1.
To ease the installation, download this zip file, unzip it a the directory of your choice.
Next: run the command “docker compose up -d”.
Point your browser towards http://localhost:8080/.

We have released LibrePlan 1.6.1, a maintenance release following the recent LibrePlan 1.6.0 release.
After releasing 1.6.0, it turned out that there was an issue in the deployment process. The frustrating part was that the problem did not occur consistently: some installations worked perfectly, while others failed during deployment. This also made the problem considerably more difficult to reproduce and track down.
We would therefore especially like to thank everyone who downloaded LibrePlan 1.6.0, tried to install it and took the time to report their experiences. Your feedback was extremely valuable in finding and resolving this issue.
With LibrePlan 1.6.1, the deployment problem has been fixed.
Installing LibrePlan 1.6.1
As before, the current LibrePlan version is available as a ready-to-use Docker image on Docker Hub.
To make installation easier, we have also prepared a small installer ZIP file containing the files needed to get a LibrePlan Docker installation up and running. You can download it from the release article on the LibrePlan website.
The Docker image itself is available here.
If you previously had problems deploying LibrePlan 1.6.0, we would very much appreciate it if you could give 1.6.1 another try.
And, of course, feedback remains welcome. If you encounter a problem, please let us know. Reports from actual installations are one of the things that help us keep LibrePlan working across the many different environments in which it is being deployed.
